Since its founding in 1972, the Helen Ross McNabb Foundation has worked diligently to support the work of the McNabb Center. Funds raised by the Foundation over the years have contributed greatly toward the stability and growth of the Center. The Foundation raises funds through several avenues.

The Family Walk-In Center provides immediate crisis care and 6–8 weeks of follow-up support for children and families in East Tennessee. After federal funding ended early, this essential program now faces a critical gap. Help us raise $2.5 million to sustain life-changing services and ensure youth in crisis have a safe, compassionate place to turn.
The Sexual Assault Center of East Tennessee (SACET) was founded in 1973 as the Knoxville Rape Crisis Center and remains one of two comprehensive, community sexual assault agencies in the state of Tennessee; serving 16 counties. SACET provides victims of sexual assault with the support, information and resources needed throughout the recovery process.

Helen Ross McNabb Center’s Therapeutic Preschool programs in Knox and Hamilton counties are the only remaining programs of their kind in the state of Tennessee. Through Therapeutic Preschool, the Center provides 10 weeks of intensive group treatment to children ages 4-6 who have suffered abuse, neglect or other adverse childhood experiences.

The Breakthrough Gala is a powerful, creative evening that shares the McNabb Center’s mission and impact. Local artists are paired with individuals connected to our programs for a meaningful journey rooted in healing, hope, and recovery. Each artist will create and donate an original piece inspired by that experience, featured in a live auction benefiting vital McNabb Center services.
