The 2021 Evening of Hope dinner returns on Thursday, August 12 at The Country Club in Morristown to honor Don and Penney Rogers. This event benefits McNabb Center programming and services in Hamblen County.
Don came to Morristown from new Jersey and established Rogers Petroleum in 1980. Since then, the company has grown into the leading petroleum wholesale distributor within the Southeastern market. Personally, and professionally, the Rogers family is committed to supporting the local community.
“Don and Penney embody the McNabb Center’s mission; improving the lives of the people we serve,” said Sharon Reid, McNabb Center’s senior director of Hamblen County services. “They have been long supporters of the Center and the entire Morristown community and they make a positive impact on our work.”
The McNabb Center’s clinic in Morristown offers numerous services, including mental health care for children, families and adults; intensive outpatient substance use treatment for adults and adolescents; pre-arrest diversion programming, which includes the Jail to Work program and Crisis Intervention Team training; recovery housing; a Crisis Stabilization Unit; and the Youth Emergency Shelter.
